Yup, paying off the expedition cash this coming month. Giving up this house ( rented) for a year. Going to work for my buddies new company in August after the baby is born. (State will pay for the hospital) Salary with bonus and working with my bud. His baby is due in August. Life is good thanks to our Lord
Who can really say? After 100K, on my 99 MB, 1 injector was dirty and the other 5 were fine. Also, if you dump crap fuel, well, don't expect to get 100K out of them.
OK, here's my question. My truck's got 255K on the orignals. BUT it's louder than other PSD's. So, even though they still squirt diesel are they worn out because my truck louder and a little rought than most?
I remember Kwik mentioning that when he changed his he noticed his truck was quieter with thenew injectors....

Why not take them to a local diesel shop and have them test it?
We've got a bone stock late '99 in our fleet (aside from the FASS, regulated return, pump and tank mods, transfer tank with a pair of Dahls) that presently has 880,000 miles on it and has never had the valve covers off. Four transmissions though. Only one CPS, too, about a year ago. Knock, knock, knock on wood.
My personal truck has a set of Swamps in it that have been there for about 198,000 miles. No issues.
This is a toss-up, however. Fuel, where you get it, and what happens to it between the tank and the motor are the key.
