Bronco not starting
Well, for a while now my starter has been acting up, occasionally the starter will spin but not engage on the first shot, then it would usually work. The other day it wouldn't start at all, but the battery had plenty of juice. This morning I installed a new starter and solenoid and since the battery had basically died while trying to get it to crank, I was attempting to jump it off my girlfriends car, but all it will do is click, real fast, almost sounds like an air ratchet, but still won't start. If I unhook the jumper cables and try to start it, the battery discharges and is dead almost immediately. I've had the battery charged and checked and was told that it's good. All the cables appear to be fine, all the connections are tight. I'm running out of ideas, if anyone else knows of anything that might be causing this i sure ould help me out.

Check for a bad ground. It will bother the connection enough that the starter won't get full juice, and could cause "starter death" If you don't find a good ground from the battery to the block, make one. Sometimes the exsisting one is just dirty or corroded. That's what all my of starter issue related to. Hope it helps!

sometimes you can get a dead short in the starter also and every time you turn the key the starter dead short to the frame and drains the battery .... well let me refraise that .... it dead shorts through the armature of the starter to the frame ..... if ya dead short the starter to the frame ie. posipost to the frame the battery it would explode
