I just got my new plate last week for the F150......they didn't ask anything about weight......just issued me a standard plate.....my choice of the flag or palmetto tree.....and it was $60!
I guess you gotta tell them if you want any other plate.

Does SC have any lift laws? I'm planning to give Meanie another lift after we get settled.........According to the better half i can do it after we find her a horse.

and I'm very surprised.......I see them a lot higher than this here. I think it has a lot to do with where you are in the state and how diligent the local gendarmes are.......but I'm sure if they stop you or if you have an accident.....they'll tack it on.

You can't modify either up or down by more than 6 inches from the original height.
Me too! I've seen some higher and lower. Meanie already has a 3" leveling kit and is gonna get about 4" more lift + new rubber, Guess i'll take my chances.

Towing occasionally till i can get a beater truck but thats about it, Why?
