Hey fellas -

I'm curious as to what you guys would do if you have $3,000 that you can "apply / fix" to your truck. I just have home-made mods nothing fancy but I'm looking towards performance (i.e. injectors) I'm going to lift it later on this summer. I know it's probably stupid to have a lifted diesel but I don't really tow that much stuff to even bother. Any ideas are greatly welcomed!!!

that would be hands down, no questions asked for me.... bags and 4 links all the way around! you can lower it to a lowered height and then jack it up for some serious wheel-well space. i've been wantin to do it for a while just havent mustered up the guts to do it!

then if i had any left i'd get stage-1's, SD HPOP, con-ofe, and stacks!

$800 stage 1 injectors
$400 intercooler and pipes off ebay
$500 sd hpop
$400 exhaust system
$150 tymar intake
$100 idm mod
$300 gauges

$2650 on engine stuff, then buy a lift that you want. Might be more than your $3k.

 

Foreman has it! only change i would make is the injector, use the DIY injectors for about $300. remove the exhuast (he already has a DP and 4")and spend the $400 on a chip. I am sure Foreman planned to add that to his list but missed it.

 

Fishmann - I didn't know that they made air bags for OBS trucks!? What company makes this? Or do you have to custom fab it all?

Foreman & TJ - That is pretty much what I was thinking! I'll have to start doing the research on the inter cooler and some brands. This was the list i was looking for!! Thank you!


Thanks for all your reposts fellas! I did this $3000 fix up to my f150 and now i figured it was time for the power stroke to have it's turn

 

air ride would be all custom. kelderman might make a kit for our trucks but it will be huge lift and you would need to hit the lottery to swing that kind of money.

haha that was me! and by the way thanks for all your help with that situation! i have to take my truck through inspection sometime soon since i just reregistered it and i have like 8 days left to get it through before it's illegal... ugh... so once that's done i'll start ordering parts!

IDM mod changes the voltage output to your injectors from 100 volts to 140. I have read 20 hp and 60 lbs torque #s, not bad for $100

David - What do you mean when you say trans-enhancers? Like Valve Bodies er something?
