Ok... I have a question... I have all my trim pieces but a few have dents... Ant suggestions on repairing the dents? I have several dents/creases in the grill and I dont want to pay $700 for a new one...

They are just aluminum so with the right tools and patience you can work them back into shape .
i hear they have a "clear coating " on top you can strip with aircraft stripper then you can re polish them . i just cleaned mine up and repainted the black part , someday i'll replace them with a new set ($500.00)

Trim is way cool if you just hafta have that "stock" look...it really sets our old trucks off in period correctness. Problem is it was only the technology of the day...soft shiny aluminum that dents easily, held onto to American steel with funky fasteners. It always gets wacked by someone's door, or just rattles loose on average roadways. If you don't want another layer of constant maintenance, pull the trim and seal/cover the holes before you do your final cats pajamas paint job...they look just as good without trim and a quality paint job IMO.

The best looking trim, in my opinion, is the 68-69 Ranger. I have never liked the pudgy wide 70-72 Ranger XLT trim.
A Custom could have no trim or just the thin upper one.

There are several full color books available today on Ford Trucks. I suggest you look at one/all before doing anything to your truck. The books will give you ideas on what to do.
NumberDummy you are the man on Ford facts, but I have owned and seen more than one, never painted 1972 truck that are two tone with white in the middle and color on top and bottom. below is a 72 ford truck ad showing one.
