Turbo leaking oil

I have a problem with my Turbo. It has been replaced 4 times in the last 18 months. Is this normal? and if not what should I do? Anyone what to buy it? HA!

Replaced 4 times by who? New or rebuilt?

Also, where is the leak? Is it coming out of the turbo itself and blowing smoke and oil out the tailpipe? Or is it leaking directly under the turbo?

Tell us more!!!

Also what engine mods, if any, do you have on your truck?

Unhappy

No Engine mods. Wasn't going to untill I reached 100,000 miles. (warrenty)

The turbo was replaced all 4 times by the dealership. They say that it is leaking from the seals? No smoke or nothing, just oit spots on the drive way all of the time. They put the die in to tracit and this is what they have told me. I am no gearhead by any means, so I just pay it and hope it doesn't happen again. I guess I was wrong to hope for that. What do you think?

Oil leaking out of the pedestal (which attaches the turbo to the block) is simply fixed by replacing the seals. Perhaps the dealership is stupid enough, to remove the turbo, replace it and not the seals? I sure hope not.

That's what I was thinking too Strokin. No smoke or oil in the exhaust pipe would indicate a leak at the pedistal, not from the turbo itself. If you truely have gone through 4 turbos in this short amount of time, then something is seriously wrong. Either you are towing a lot and surging the turbo constantly, or you have some blockage in the CCV and the crankcase pressure is too high.
