S.G.I. Inspection Tomorow

Bringing dads G.M. 4x4 in for safety . I put lots of work into it . It better pass or i'll be pissed. If it doesn't i'm going to part it out lol. Or screww all the regs and find a rust bucket and do the big transfer he he.

Good luck, certification is very doable, we had to do our 81 GM tandem. If that can pass I'm sure you're fine.

Hopefully you are going to an honest inspection station. I got ripped off big time once and never went back of course.
The next time I lucked out and got a great inspection without getting ripped off.
It makes a huge difference were you take your vehicle to.

Well got the old girl saftied finally. It costed me another $73.00 It seems that if you dont get all the repairs done within 30 days they can charge you again ! Heres what i did. Replaced both cab corners ,drivers side rocker and floor pan, both doors and thats all i did body wise. Mechanicly e-brake cables power steering seal in gear box, Right side exhaust manifold, repaced tail pipe, tighten L:F wheel bearing, new speedo cable and changed the valve cover gaskets and repainted them while i had them off. The valve cover gaskets wernt part of the inspection ,just needed doing. Now to find some G.M. fans to buy it lol.

Bingo! That`s how it`s done, you argue and you lose.
So I paid to have good tie rod ends replaced and they "let" the other non defects go! It ended up costing me an extra $140+....
Congrats Chris on the certification, must be your lucky day.

If they find something wrong with your steering or front suspension then they get to ding you for an alignment as well.If you get an alignment done somewhere else, they don't have to accept it so it is a nice incentive to find something wrong.
