Good Transmission Shop?
Can anyone in the Virginia Beach area recommend a good transmission shop? Going off of nothing I'm just leaning towards one of the AAMCO's on Virginia Beach Blvd. Beach Ford "fixed" my 92' Ranger's leaky seal twice a few years ago for $750, now it's gushing fluid all of sudden and I'm not going back to them. Any suggestions are appriciated since if this is going to cost me $750 or more again to fix a seal I'm just going to have them replace the whole thing. Would like a good shop since they'll be getting a good amount of my money Thanks for anything guys.

I have lost track of where he is working now, but there was a rebuilder named Dan that worked, last I heard, at Gene's Transmission on Airline Blvd. You may give them a call and see if he is there. Many of the shop's in the area used to bring the tranny's to him when he was on Indian River Road behind Affordable Engine & Trans. I would try my hardest to find him, as he is one of the best in the area. Very meticulous, very knowledgeable.
I have heard good things about Auto Specialties, but thought they did big truck stuff more than cars ???
The Boyd family at Heritage Trans right down the road from Aamco on VA Bch Blvd. does good work.
Let me know if you can't find Dan, I will try and make some calls and run him down.
