I use either Fl820s or Purolator "Pure One" filters always with Syn Oil (Mobil 1 or Syntec) I never liked Fram but have used them from time to time when I had no others on hand. Every 2500-3000 miles new oil and filter, always.

Wasted the money on a K&N oil filter once. Didn't like the hex for the wrench and the extra thickness means nothing.

Holy mackerel!! That's a lot of reading. While poking around over at BITOG, I came across this thread http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=820761&an=0&page=0#Post8 20761 comparing 820S class filters. The K&N didn't fare too badly there. I don't know, they've worked okay for me for the past 25,000 miles, and, the ease the hex nut offers is enough of a selling point to keep using the K&N.

Sorry, I don't see where you get the poor filtering argument.

Just look at the average pore size, that K&N is the largest. That means it's filtering the least. It's your money, I was just trying to enlighten you that it was a waste.
