EGR Valve and the Dealer

When i take my truck in at 15k for the fuel filters to get changed, i want them to check my egr valve to see how gummed up it is. My question is will the dealership pull the egr valve just to to inspect and if need be clean it? And if they do what would they charge?

They may not pull it unless you complain about running troubles. If its gummed up causing troubles, it's warranty. Why not do the filters yourself and pull the EGR also? Not that difficult. Good luck!

He's right filters from Internation ~40 vs 75+.
10 minutes to change.
The EGR is also very simple. I used a piece of hanger wire and the handle of my mini floor jack. Put a hook in one end , hold it to EGR to measure where you want the loop and then put a hook on the other end. remove the two screws gently turn the EGR with Large plyer. Hook the hanger end into the screw hole and pry up on the ALT. with handle thru wire loop. mine popped right out .
