Rebuilding 302 for 88 Bronco, what are 3 good improvements
I'm having my engine rebuilt and would like to know what the best simple changes I can make while the engine is out. My only concern besides big money is, how these changes will effect the on board computer. I'm also concidering an exhaust system, stock manafolds w/single in 2 1/4 pipe, single out w/flowmaster 70's. The engine is currently fule injected (stock) w/efI dura spark >>>> I just reached the hight of my mechanical accumen. That why I come here for help! All Advice On This is Welcome Thanks, Mike.

Cam,heads, exhaust.Cam selection for speed density EFI is critical.Call comp cams tech line they can give you some advice. You can have your heads ported and polished or buy aftermarket heads depending on your budget. The gt-40p heads found on the late model explorers flow better than the stock heads and are not that expensive. They will not work with the air injecion/airpump.But alot of folks delete that anyway.depends on your emissions laws.Freeing up the exhaust will help too.Just don't get carried away or it will actually hurt the low end torque.
