picture test - carburetors recolored

Trying a picture. Someone had posted a while back about miniature electroplating kits. This is a result. I was not going for a stock look, as I cleaned these up to sell, since I didn't have use for them. Since they were identical, I tried for a custom look and advertised them for use in a dual setup.

Thanks. I bead blasted the bodies, then replated them with zinc. That was followed by a dip in chromate for the the choke linkages and acc. pump link. I had removed the brass cable block prior to replating, then remounted it. The second carb does not have it since it is for a dual setup. The bases were cleaned with electrolysis, then dipped in phosphoric acid, then immersed in 200* homebrew phosphate solution, like Ford did on bases and iron distributor bodies years ago. I hate using paint on items that did not have it originally.

Beautiful! Had my glass bowl-style Holley 1bbl.'s rebuilt by a guy in Grants Pass, OR. Came back similar -- like museum pieces!

Probably the same guy that posted these pictures, and the same guy that did an outstanding job on my 8RT Holley! Nice work Owen.
