Tire choices ready to scream or trade.. vibrations

if you are not looking for an aggressive tread tire try the Goodyear Forteras with silent armor. I just put them on my wife's 04 Explorer and she says the difference is night and day. I had the revos on my 97 f150 and they were the best all around tire I've ever had. I had BFG AT's and towards the end of their treadlife they were horrible in the rain. the revo's were great even after 50k miles.

Steering wheel is starting to shimmy, and they just ride rough. No, I have not had them road force balanced, and don't want to go through that hassle. I just can't understand why you can't buy the correct tire size and have a decent ride like you used to on Fords. Now all I hear about is road force balance, and only use certain brands.

I know it sucks I'm with you on that 100%.Im scared to buy the Revos now but I need tires badly and can't keep driving with the steering wheel shimmy it really makes the truck feel cheap..Ive heard of others that have changed tires and have had the steering wheel shimmy at highway speeds and never had it with the tires they took off..keep everyone posted and good luck.

I did it My F150 is gone traded her last night for the new Tundra..hope I have some good luck god knows I had horrible luck with my 150, I tried to keep her but could not take the steering wheel shimmy AND whole truck vibration any longer and the fact that I had the tranny, power steering pump, ball joints, rear axle seal, rear caliper,E-brake,lower end engine noise, clunking noise in rear end, leaking 3rd light, all these issues left me wiped out I feel bad because I did enjoy the truck so much despite the fact that I got a lemon..funny thing is that I got the Toyota off road package 5.7 and it has of all tires the BF Goodrich Rugged Trail 18s but has absolutely no steering wheel shimmy at all or driveline vibrations..hope you all keep enjoying your trucks... hope I didnt make a mistake.
