Having Seat problems with '02 F-150

My 2002 F-150 XLT supercab with 60/40 split bench was purchased only about a month ago and I've started to notice that my driver's seat does this annoying popping thing when I rest my back into the seat. It happens mostly when i accelerate, my back get pushed back and the seat seems to have a plastic sounding panel that buckles and makes a popping noise. It seems to actually make my back ache a little after much of this. Has anybody else had this? I have tested the passenger seat and it does not do it. I am wondering if this is something I could take back to the dealer and ask about.

thanks

Take anything back to the dealer and ask about it. It's under warranty, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Do you share driving with your wife or someone using a different seat position? This may not be what you're describing, but mine sometimes doesn't seem to fully engage all of the latches and 'kinda creaks until I stop fast or do something which causes it to snap into locked position. I now rock the seat after changing its position, but it does seem to do it less than when it was brand new.

Hope this helps.

It has nothing to do with the seat track or how the seat slides back and forth, but it is a spring or something inside the seat cushion that continues to pop and give when i lean back.

thanks

I haven't noticed this with my new 2002 SCrew, but I did notice it when I test drove a 2001 SCrew after I fiddled with the lumbar support adjustment ****. I can only think it has something to do with the lumbar support. I predict a trip to the dealer is in your future.

My 2002 F-150 does the same thing. So, last night while driving, I adjusted the **** on the side of the seat, Back lumbar adjustment, just on or two turns, the noise stopped. My 98 doesn't do this. I guess the newer ones are a cheaper material.
