I am not familiar with the X plan, is this like a buying club? For those of us who don't know about this please fill us in. Thanks

 

X plan is a friends and neighbors purchase plan. Each Ford employee/retiree is allowed to "sponsor" upto 4 X plan purchases per year. If you search around here and other such forums you will find employees/retirees that are gracious enough to provide forum members with a X plan PIN, which will allow one to purchase there new vehicle at a discounted price. X plan pricing for Ford vehicles is as follows.

Invoice minus 0.4% of Invoice + $75.00 admin fee.

I am not willing to post the name it might mess up the companies deal, never know who looking at the posts, but you can be sure there are deals to be had if you find a good dealer, this 2 or 3 k off sticker is a joke. my 04 350 was 40 plus and I paid a little less then 32 k and that was more then the truck is worth, all you have to do is set back and wait if they dont sell, the incentives will start coming out. but that is the problem many are like spoiled kids got to have one now.

 

No spoiled kid here. We have our home about ready to put up for sell, and then we are buying a 5th wheel RV and would like to have the SD to toke it.

tn mac is correct. just look at the 2007 trucks and you will see the good deals that there are, with the 2008 SD the 2007 will sit there so ford will have major rebates to get them off the lot. example - My son bought a new car that was two years old, sitting in the showroom. car sticker was 24k. he got it for 17k. now percentage wise that is about 30% off. As for me I ordered a F-350 2008. I need the business expense so I know that truck would be cheaper down the road but so be it. 250 over invoice isnt to bad.

The X-plan is availible to those that are connected to Ford through their Job. I workde for Mack Trucks, owned by Volvo, which is in cahoots with Ford. On the x plan I can get: Range Rover,Jaguar,Ford,Lincoln, Mercury,Nissan, I can't remember any more. You have to show your proof at the Ford dealer that you can get the X plan. Then they can get your pin number or you can go online at www.Fordpartner.com.

I looked at an F450 with a sticker of $57,265, I saw the invoice @ $45K and some change, the salesman said the x plan would come in about there. He didn't do the computer run on it to make it official on the price, as I was window shopping.
