20" has nothing to do with traction in snow it would depend on it being a performance tire or a grip tire. and would be the same on 18"

That's actually one of my originals. One of the guys at work one day was working on a car without any stands under it and that is what I said. It brough the house down.

Well, sure I have all that stuff, and the fuzzy dice, and the bullet hole stickers, and the baseball through the window thing, and the coffee can muffler, and the neon, and the big chinese windshield visor sticker that I don't know what it says. Now that I can see getting hell for. But my little truckie never hurt no one and it don't like getting lumped in with the "spinners and dub's" crowd.

well, good thing you don't have the "spinners and dubs" so you therefor, aren't with that crowd. btw, forgot the bullet hole thing. thanks for bring that up... lol

speaking of the whatever language window sticker, a somewhat friend of mine from... japan? china? (i forget) was with me one day - saw one of those and was confused as to why they put what i did. I guess the "honda" sticker they had said something comletely different... people are funny like that i guess...

hey - np. i saw that and smiled. just wanted to make sure i was clear, so that i don't truely offend anyone (because that's not what i'm here for). the whole concept was the tires, which, are put on because of the new, larger rim. people usually put a lower profile, "racing type" tire (im talking mostly about treadpatterns here) on and complain when they can't drive in winter. again, it's what i hear, it could be totally different for others.

I have thick skin, really. I'm surprised I defended the truck they way I did. Usually you can toss any mud you want my way and I just duck or shake it off. I guess the pride I have in my truck sort of clouded my posts a bit! I just tell myself, "it's just a truck." Now I'm better.

What are you saying? OK kidding. And by "just a truck" I mean in context with my kids and the wife. Priorities... But as trucks go, this puppy's pretty neat.

too many neg's

For my .02 worth, I dont like the looks of a 20 on any truck, the tires are more expensive, they dont last as long, ride harder, suspension parts will wear out quicker, and you cant go off road. But a lot of these trucks never see a dirt path anyhow. My daughter had big rims with no sidewall tires on her car, and after hitting just a flat 2X4 on the highway, she got to buy a new $170 rim. I cant imagine riding on a set of low profile tires with the stiff suspension these trucks have. Better you, than me. But like my boss says, "its my money and I'll buy whatever I want."

The weather in my area this year has brought several snow storms, and several ice storms. I have only had this truck for the last snowstorm and it handled just great. Are you saying I'm lucky I made it home because I have 20's? I don't understand that, either, with no sarcasm intended. Really, explain the wheel size/snow travel thing because I never heard it.

Look, I didn't buy the rims from Ford intentionally. They were on the truck that I liked the most. I imagine I would have been OK with 18's if that's what it had. And you're certainly right, after a while on the site I will get used to the nuances of the board and its' posters.

And let me say, the spinners and the ridiculous style of a lot of those aftermarket wheels is appallaing. I am definitely not one of those types. The picture I posted is my bone stock truck. No hydraulics, no window-shakin bootylicious stereo, no spinners or tireflys.

NEXT- mine has leather seats, BRING ON THE LEATHER HATERS!!

LOL, Mine has 40/20/40 in vinyl! HEH! Looks like leather, feels like leather, but cheap like me!
