Ok, I have found an 89 Bronco for sale. I do it either has a 5.0 or an 300 6. What kind of gas milage can I except out of both of these engines? And, the engines in the 89 are fuel injected right? Also, are there any problems with these? And, in the Bronco, I used to have an 83, but in this year of Bronco what should I look for in problems?

No probs with my 89 with 302 and AOD. MPG, probably 10, possibly 15 if you do the right mods. Will vary depending on how you drive the most. It's a heavy truck and your fuel mileage ain't gonna be great.

 

I just read on a site Ford claimed 13/17 for both engines the 6 and the 5.0 but the site said to expect single digit fuel economy in heavy city driving unless you have a very lite foot. http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/2158.htm My 91 5.0 gets around 10-11 in the city, you will also read on that site that it received a high NHTSA crash test survivability rating, in my book that counts for more than high mpg.

 

I get about 13 hwy 10 city with my 89, 351 & C6 4.10 gearing on 33's.

 

Thanks everybody. I know that the Brocnos where heavy. In my 83 that I used to have I got about 17mpg on the highway. It had the 300 6 in it. Thanks alot and I am very happy that there have been no reported problems with them.
