How do I take off the cooling fan? Help please
What exactly is preventing you from taking it off? Are you talking about the engine driven fan or do you have aftermarket cooling fans? The mechanical fan is held on by four bolts. Let us know a little bit more about what exactly is the problem and maybe we can help you out more.

Maybe he means the fan clutch? If so, you need a special tool to hold the fan clutch while you unbolt it, but you can improvise and use large pliers or something instead. Also, I believe that some fans and/or fan clutches have reverse threads on them.

I've never seen the clutches that thread on, but I'm told the I6 received them. On my '90 351 the clutch bolts to the water pump and the fan bolts to the clutch. Have never needed a special tool to remove it. I usually leave the belt on, and if the water pump wants to spin I just pull down on the belt to tension it more. That has always held the pulley in place for me so I can then loosen or tighten the bolts.
