93 Ranger CEL Help
First off I want to say congrats on such a great laid out and very informative web site. My question is I bought a 93 ranger 2.3 5 speed with 126000 miles on it.The truck runs great and was very well maintained.After driving say 15 miles the CEL comes on and stays on until I turn off the engine.So say I stop as I did today to get gas after driving just a few miles up the road (not 15 miles)it comes on again.I also noticed on longer trips say 50 miles or so it will sometimes come on and go back off but mostly it stays on after it comes on.It doesnt run hot also all the fluids are full so I know its nothing like that its just something thats tripping it when the PCM is going to closed loop.I am wondering if I can pull the codes other than the VOM analog method,all I have is a digital one.I dont want to pay $50+ to some shop just for them to tell me its a 02 sensor which Im thinking it is.Any thoughts or suggestions? Also thanks in advance for any help.

Definitely helps to have the codes, but if it runs as well as you say, don't throw money at it like a new O2 sensor till your sure. It could be something simple like the gas cap or a leaky hose in the EVAP(emissions).
