I am sure the experienced are are gonns a say "Well Yeah!", But I have taken several cabs off frames and used to grind off or cut through the retainers on cab mounts in order to remove them.
I figure out that if you thread one of the mounting bolts into the mount with the cab removed, then drive it down with with a hammer. The bottom retainer falls right out and can be reused if not too rusted.
Just a tip I finally figured out after 20 years. I am a little slow I guess.
Yep....that's how I was able to save mine. Didn't work so hot for the radiator support. They were too rusty, so I had to grind those off. Just make sure you use a big enough hammer and hit the bolt head square.
