I've finally made a move on exhaust for my truck. I ordered a Flowmaster 40 series 2.5" center in/out, and just a stock tail pipe. I'm going to remove the second cat, then i just have to reduce from 3" after first cat down to 2.5" I thought it was weird that it is 2.5" before first cat, then 3" then 2.25", then 2.5" all the way back, at least this way, it'll go 2.5" to 3" and back to 2.5" oh well, i just need to get 30" of pipe that reduces 3" to 2.5". I'm off to the exhaust shop, and then wait for my muffler, haha.

Hey just a idea but why dont you go 3inch? They have a 3inch 40 series flowmaster that will let you have three inch exhaust. You will nto be sorry if you take this advice. The sound is awesome and the power increase is nice, even better if you have a k and n airfilter setup. I have had this setup on all my ford trucks and now on my bronco. GO WITH THREE!!!!!!

 

damn, it's too late now, i already order the 2.5" and this way i just got a cheap stock tail pipe. I think after that tail pipe rusts off in a year or 2, i'll maybe remove the first cat too, and then just run the one 40 series.
