I swear my Bronco hates me. Heater Core Question!
So i'm driving to work today and next thing you know i have coolant spraying everywhere on the passenger side. I was like ah crap now what. then my poor little 5.0 started to get warm so i pulled over at a gas station. Look up the dash and tons of coolant is pouring all over. had to have the truck towed home because it wouldnt hold any coolant in the system at all. So 200 bucks down the drain for towing! Went to the "zone" and picked one up for 20bucks! "yah omg a cheap part for once on a ford" but while reading my manual you have to keep pressure or some crap in the lines or else you can have some problems later? i was like what huh??? i've never done a heater core in my live which is sad, i've done motor swaps, rebuilt three 5.0's for my stang buddies and installed them without a lift!! and done 2 Trannys with a floor jack. I'm sure changing a heater core cany be that bad but while reading my manual i was a little confused so any info would be helpful including how to even get to the damn thing first of all. All i know is kinda where its at.

It isn't near as bad as you may think. Just dig in under the dash and you'd be surprised how easy it goes.
As for your $200 towing bill.....did ya ever think to disconnect your heater hose, double it over on itself and clamp it shut? You could have clamped the hose and saved yourself a buttload of money.

Yah probably would of helped if i had my tool box with me or at least my small set but of course i didnt have any tools at the time nor did the tow truck driver besides a few pair of pliers and a hammer. Infact he even said the same thing but i didnt have the tools for the job, so i learned my lesson i guess.
