Granny four speed to a five speed

Hi,
I have a 77 f-150 4 wheel drive with a 300 six and a granny four speed i was wondering what my options are to switch it to a newer five speed and what changes i must do to complete this swap............thanks Jeff

There are two five speeds, the M5OD and the ZF. The ZF is far stronger, but if you don't do any towing or abusing, the M5OD will work for you just as well.

You'll also need the master and slave cylinders and the hydraulic line to convert it to a hydraulic clutch. I don't know if your mechanical linkage pedal assembly will work or not, you may need a pedal assembly that works with a pushrod. Someone else might have the answer for this.
