Motorcraft vs. Aftermarket

Motorcraft vs. Aftermarket
I have made some somewhat major parts purchases of late and have been shopping around to find the best price.
One of the parts I needed for my 1995 was a new ignition cylinder and door lock sets.
I priced it out on the internet and at local aftermarket parts sales places and found that if I were to buy it I would have to buy it separately and have a locksmith cut my key from the two sets of keys, because the aftermarket parts DO NOT COME IN A SET.
So I found fordparts.com and called Ken and found out that the Motorcraft parts come as a complete set and COST THE SAME AS A AFTERMARKET SET.
Why would anyone put anything but Ford parts on a Ford? Most of the time it is price. But in this case when you go to fordparts.com you will find the price about 41% less than a Ford dealer!
I am trying to put Motorcraft parts back in my Ford trucks and help out FoMoCo at the same time!
