Body molding help - 93 Bronco XLT

I recently had my 93 Bronco XLT repainted and body work done. As a result, the side body moldings had to be removed and could not be reused. I've searched a lot and cannot find aftermarket pieces. The dealer has these for around $400, but they are paint to match.

Does anyone here know of any place outside of the dealer to get these parts? On the XLT, these are the 3 piece moldings on each side, front, door, and rear panels, with a chrome strip in the middle. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to www.LMCtruck.com, search prt#-49-2679, it lists for $139.95 and they say it's ready to install. Order a catalog for your years models, lmc is one of our best friends around here.

Do the mouldings clip on? If so, just order new clips..why buy expensive mouldings if you don't need them. The pics in the moulding sections of the Ford parts books show all the clips for each moulding. The clips come in packages of 10 or so.

Do they glue on? Just buy some 3M double sided tape...that's what Ford uses to hold the mouldings on.

Anyone tells you mouldings can't be reused, is full of caca del toro. You can buy the correct clips from Ford, or 3m Tape from Home Depot.

Mouldings that are damaged are usually beyond repair.

NumberDummy - it is the adhesive body molding, not the type that clips on. When it was removed it could not be reused.

ag30265 - that is *exactly* what I was looking for, you are the man! I am going to get a full catalog from the site. Thanks a bunch, I am going to order today.

Not a very good body shop .we reuse them all time.Cosidering some are $300.00 They must have pulled them off. Find some in wrecking yard use windshield removal wire ,heavy fishing line or even dental floss to cut the 3m tape don't pull on trim much. Can also use a heavy puddy knife but wire work better. Practice on bad piece first. Heat helps form back But on Bronco thats not easy to do. Good luck on search .
