The headlights on my 98 Explorer are turning yellow. What's the best way to clean these so they're at least clean enough for the lamp to shine through w/o being dimmed by the yellow plastic? Thanks!!!
White toothpaste will take some of it off. Also some fine sandpaper I used 1000 then 1500 then some polishing compound to get out the fine scratches. I think you can also get kits somewhere for this as well.
I saw a polishing kit at Walmart yesterday. It was from www.myheadlight.com. It cost $20. Has anyone used it? Does it work as it claims? Thanks for the toothpaste idea. I'm a bit skiddish on the sandpaper though. Maybe a last resort.
