Rim came loose.....
Today me and my girlfriend went to the local ice cream place, and on the way there i heard this awful noise and when i went to brake, it sounded like my pads were gone on the front left of my truck. So anyways my shop is like 2 miles up the road so i go up and check er out. I start liftin my truck on the lift and i notice the front left wheel fall inward as it came off the ground so i thought great my wheel bearin crapped the bed. So i look at it and all my lug nuts came loose on the front left wheel. I got kinda queezy (if thats how u spell it) cuz they werent even snug they were like half way off, i just thanked god it didnt come off when my girlfriend was wit me. I just put these rims on last summer, and i just put new tires on her like two weeks ago. My dad helped me out with it after i was done workin cuz we did other things too ( u joints and such). Anyways i knew my dad tighted my lug nuts down cuz i was mountin and balancin and he was puttin em on. We always argue bout how tight lug nuts should be, and i seen it was loose, and i almost blew up. So now i get to go down west virginia and buy new rims, and i also get to tear the front left of my truck apart to change the lugs on it. I kno i shouldnt get mad at my dad cuz he was helpin me out but it just fires me up. I didnt say anything to him bout why i left it up my shop, cuz i didnt want him to try to pay me for the new stuff i gotta buy. Just need to blow off some steam..

I know from personal experience that a 1989 2wd F150 will run with only three lug nuts/studs. I imagine you have aluminum wheels so you will most likely have to replace that one.
I once learned a simialr leson, don't take people word on important things. Always inspect your own stuff, but out of sight of the mechanic if you want to use him again.
