I would have to say that that silenoid is not the right one..Take it back with your old one to match up to the right one. Sometimes they stock the parts in the wrong bins. I have along with everyone else had this happen to them one time or another. Good luck and hope you get your truck up and running!

if the solenoid on the fender clicks when you turn the key, then there is a problem between the solenoid and the starter itself. try hitting the starter with a hammer. if that doesn't work, check the mounting surface. the starter grounds to the engine block. i had the same symptoms. turn the key and click. replaced the starter and all was well again. you can also remove the starter and take it to an auto parts place. they should be able to test the starter there as well.the solenoid on the starter tends to go bad and is most often the culprit.
