I have had this vehicle into the garage and have replaced alot of parts for emissions. All for the same reason rough idle. Now the garage is telling me that it is a bad #5 Cylinder and they want to replace the whole engine, can't you repair the head? If I need a new engine, what is the cost? Garage is still trying to figure it out, that was 5 days ago.
First, you have 2 significantly different questions going in your thread. I suggest you split out your 2nd post and place in a new thread.....it will then get the proper response.
On the 1st question, is it only the bulbs you need to replace? If so, that is described thoroughly in your owner's manual. If you don't have an owners manual let us know and instructions will be shared.
On the 2nd question, seems like your garage may not be qualified or have the experience to work on your truck. Seems like they are trial and error troubleshooting and guessing. Do you have another mechanic that you know has performed detailed engine work on Ford engines?
Be sure to includes some details of your truck when posting.....year, model, engine specs, etc. This way the members can be more precise in their responses.
