I dont know about heavy hauler trans frm Ford. But think of it this way, when you buy a reman it is just the parts that come in the bag that are replaced. I have a BTS and I can tell you that stock trans wouldnt even come close to the way this trans pulls now. The Ford dealer I was close to at the time wanted 2800 for their trans and it was hard to pay the 3900 for the BTS, but now I realize it was worth every penny. Also Ford may give you problems if your truck is modded at all. Cant speak for the others out there but I know if I was to get another truck it would also get a BTS trans.

LA_BigRed,

I see you are in CA. BTS can ship to other shops for the install, but seeing you are in Ca, give John Wood a call. He is in Holtville(baja country) and see what he can do for you. Closer and you will save on shipping cost.

But will the warranty be as good? IOW, will they ding you because you were racing or doing what they term as abuse? Brian saw JT Harvey race and during the race, the trans broke. If my service writer knew that or saw propane in my truck, would they still warranty it or would they say "Sorry, Joe. You are SOL."?

Is it just me or does someone else think that AAMCO trans name makes them think of the AMCO jeans company?
