Just ordered my new exhaust

Just ordered hooker competition headers, and a hooker dual exhaust system with hooker aero chamber mufflers for my 1984 f250 with a 351W. Summitt has them, cost around 300 for all should sound great. Headers were 159, exh system was also aorund 159.

When you said $300 for the whole thing, I got excited for a minute.

Write back in and let us know how the headers fit. I have a 351w and put a set of flowtechs on it. The fit was terrible. Everything was ok up around the engine, but the driver's side comes right out underneath the tranny pan(c6) and it was actually touching the pan. I had to take a big pipe and stick it in the header and bend it down.

The passenger side wasn't much better. It came out right in front of the tranny crossmember. When I say right in in front, I mean half of the collector was above the crossmember, and half was below. I had to do the pipe thing again to bend it down, but I couldn't get it quite far enough so i had to flatten the pipe to oval so it would barely squeak below the crossmember.

They say motor mount differences cause these problems, but I don't think the factory exhaust or replacement factory exhausts have these problems. I guess you get what you pay for(I only paid $105 for them).

i ordered complete replacement stock (walker parts) for my 84 f250 also with the windsor cost me 156.27 with a glasspack instead of stock not a bad price for stock replacement considering ford discontinued it in 1995
