Just wanted to say hi and post some pictures and give some background on this 1973 Ford Ranger 360 4V with a short bed.
When I met my wife her dad needed to have his truck painted. That was back in '92. I told him how great a '68 Cougar XR7 had come out painted with '74 Thunderbird Root Beer Brown and gold pin stripes. I told him I could do the same for his truck.... I have pictures to post of the repaint if anyone is interested.
Fast Fwd - After giving the truck loving care for the last 14 years my Father in Law has now decided to get a SUV with A/C now that he is '73. He says the A/C will be really nice and gas mileage improvement is what he is looking for. So..... he just handed the keys over to me.
Since I have been working on the truck for 14 years it's still in good/great shape. However, I have some plans for it. It has new radiator, new trans, the motor is strong with 80K on a rebuild. But, I think it's time for:
Headers
Intake
Cam - Now too wild ... but, fun power.
Dual Exhaust
Toneau Cover
Wheels (Maybe)
4" Lift
Locking Rear
New Chrome Rear Bumper
Stereo / CD
A/C Maybe .... If not too much trouble.
