Initiative 957

Initiative 957, set to be on the ballot in November, is something to keep your eye on.
Personally, I am married, and have a kid on the way, so I wouldn't be affected by it, but it is an unabashed ploy to circumvent the laws of this state and the nation.

Those boys are nothing if not inventive. But that kind of ploy and resulting law would be of the type that are in China's or N.Korea's statutes.

What an initiative -- the Seattle PI/Times hasn't slammed it like they did Eyeman's. But of course they don't have their own agenda when they editorialize their "news" stories. King5's story is better written.

Oh well, live and let live, just don't call it "marriage". That was for me and my female wife, not a he-she.

Conversing about important topics is good and right, but public forum threads about social engineering, political or religious feelings tend to start arguments and eventually rip up a forum.

Here we go again with a minority proposing the abserd because they do not want to live by the majority rule. Where will it stop? I guess with the second and third commings of Christ.

This is America and all groups have the right to initiate even the absurd. Fortunately, the majority does rule, and issues like this become only a brief part of lost history.

I am more worried about the media...They only sell to the public what is negative, which is a very small percantage of all that goes on in life.

Eight year old stabs teacher. Eight year old got a great report card.

Which would be frontpage?...Just a thought.
