1987 F150 exhaust

I've got an 87 F150 with a 302....I would like to put headers on this truckand eliminate the cats and run a dual exhaust set-up with glasspacks that exits just before the rear tires. First thing that I would like to know is if anyone knows exactally what headers to put on this truck seeing that the O2 sensors are located on the y-pipe and the first cat. what do I do???????

if you're still looking, most headers these days are emissions-legal with spots for O2 sensors. But if you dont go that route, you can just put the O2 sensor in one of the pipes, or put in a H or X pipe and put it there in the middle. I am running a true dual setup (no h or x) and I just put the O2 sensor in the passenger side exhaust tube.

yup....2 cats.....well i did.....i took the one with no O2 sensor off of it. one O2 sensor is located in y-pipe (not manifold like i thought) and the other is located in the front cat. I dont want a y-pipe or cats. I want headers and header back dual exhaust with glasspacks. I want the exhaust to exit right before the rear tires. Do u know where I could find a "ready made" system like this???? I found one on some site that I was looking at,but I cannot find it now.

I also have an 87 witha 302. I want headers too. I guess I'll have to call summit or jegs or something like that. I'll bet someone on here knows 5 different headers to use. I want headers then a new y, oxy sensor, & dynomax muffler. Then single 2.5" pipe exiting behind the rear pass side tire. I love how single exhausts sound better than duals.
