Where to get good diesel in Austin??

Hey folks, I just got the '03 Power Stroke in my sig, and I'm looking for input on where to get good diesel fuel in south Austin. Or also for input on stations I should stay away from.

Thanks!
Chris

Murphy(Wal-mart) at Ben White and I35. was $2.23, Shamrock at Montopolis and 71E has it for $2.29.. I would/do buy from these stations regularly. Shell stations have B20 and might give you some problems if you dont change fuel filters regularly.

Check out our Central Texas Chapter as we had a meeting today and this is a good place to find out info, besides here on the website.

Good luck and keep that fuel filter clean.

I have been using the Shell (biodiesel up to 20%) in my 2000 7.3 for the lubricant value that ULSD doesn't have. Used to shy away from using it. Haven't noticed that much diff when I changed out my filter. I use either it-Shell Signature station or a Texaco station on E 290 between 183 and Springdale..heading E to Manor. They are the same price always...fuel is fresh as UPS and Central fill up there also..(big nozzle pumps as well as car sized ones) I haven't been able to tell any difference in the last 6 months. I also feel I am helping some on using a green fuel not dependent on Middle east......When I tow I usually use the no bio diesel (loss of a little hp in the bio) Orig question I have always used Valero---Shamrock as they have good fuel, are busy and are a Texas based co.-San Antonio...largest refiners in North America. My.02.

I use the BIO as well, although I have my own stash and mix it to whatever blend i want.

Fuel at Murphy's(Wal-mart) at Ben White and I35 is still $2.23 gallon.

Yes the Bio is worth using, I am going to leave the Soybean arena and check out the Cottonseed Bio.
