Will This Cut Out Fit?

Im thinking about putting this cut out on my 85 F150. It says it fits 2in pipes. How would I go about finding my true pipe size?

I measured the perimeter of my pipe (7.5 in) and divided by 3.14 and got 2.4 inches. Im assuming my measurement was just a little off and my pipe is really 2.5in?

Is their a way to make this cut out fit with reducers/expanders? Would putting this 2in cut out reduce my power from too much back pressure?

Finally, does anyone know of any cable controlled cut outs that are 2.5 inches?

thank you

I'd say you are right about the pipe being 2.5". The only way to get that particular cut out to work would be to use reducers. I doubt that restricting the pipe to 2" at the reducer would have any effect on power when the cut out is opened, but it may when closed.

I haven't seen any cut outs that are manually operated that are larger than that 2" you have linked to.

the page you linked too, as well as their free catalog(thats where ive seen them) they should have 2.5 inch manually operated cutouts as well, and you could get an electric cut out as well, if you wanted to be really fancy.
