03' expedition whistle noise at 55 mph from engine/dash

took it to ford and they cant figure it out...

at exactly 55 mph , i get this whistle sound coming from the dash or something..for sure not a window or wind or roof,....

as i give gas and let go, the noise comes and goes... sounds like a vaccum leak or something...

anyone experience this with these 03' expedition >

Try adjusting the hvac vent

This happend to us on a trip couple weeks ago, the whistle was coming from the passenger side vent to the right of the radio. We messed around with adusting the flow restrictor/redirector where the air comes out and the noise went away. Give it a shot.

I thought it was some sort of vacuum leak behind the dash....but I will try to play with the vent and see if it will go away. Stay tuned...

Are you sure whistle is from the dash and not under the hood? If it's under the hood there are a few things to try. We can elaborate if you think it's under the hood. There are reports of cracked PVC hose and I had a problem with a poor fitting air filter---drove me nuts. Specifically Fram air filter.
