I had the same problem with my 93 F150, it made the truck look terrible & light at night was poor. I tried to polish them out but in no time they were back to the way they looked before. I did extensive research on the internet & found: http://www.mrtaillight.com/index.php?cPath=454_517_490. I bought both headlights & a new chrome headlight door set cheaper than any where else. They also set complete kits that includes both side parking lights, both side marker lights, both chrome head light doors and both complete head light assemblies including head lights, adjusting brackets, adjusting screws, bulbs, bulb retainers, and seals for $140.00. Don't waste time polishing old junk, just replace it. Hope this helps.
Wet sanded my 1990 lights with 600 paper then polished them with Wenol metal polish on a wool buff on a drill. Look great lasts about 18 mos. then they start to dull again.
Not originals mind you but they claim to be excellent aftermarket replacements. These are $23.56 each and shipping $7.50 for the pair. Hopefully they will be a decent replacement. These also show they have the adjusters too.
One of my local dealerships wanted over $100 bucks per light.
I should have these soon.....end of the week.......so i can let you know how they are
30 bucks is a no brainer. If you figure in all the time it would take to mess around with cleaning them, plus the cleaning products, even if they only last 4-5 years. good luck
is there anyway to prevent the moisture from getting in there in the first place? Does it all get in there from just regular condensation of hot-cold-hot-cold-hot-cold?
I just ordered mine from the site. Thanks 92flare....
Am I going to have to align them? If so is it tough or a no brainer? Up down only or left right as well?
