Do we need to consider any fund raising activities?
If so, what are your suggestions for raising funds for the Chapter coffers?
Brian is real close to having chapter logos to be presented to the members. So we will need funds to go into production of shirts, hats, patches, etc.
What are your thoughts on this subject?
We did a fund raiser for fire company many years ago where we sold advertising space on the back of the t-shirts, this covered the cost of the setup fee and the shirts, once you have the setup of the de chapter logo you can print it on any thing, shirts, t-shirts, jacket etc.
I like the idea of an annual banquet, and think it should be held in Tn. I mean that's the only logical place to have it...most of you live in/around De, so hold the annual banquet in Tn...You see, when you look at it that way, it makes perfect sense.
I just had to brag and boast, in the PA chapter thread no less, about how the Delaware Chapter members WOULD OUT NUMBER the PA chapter members at the 2007 April DE*PA*NJ Meet--N--Greet. So I just had to bet on a sure thing, and offered a friendly wager to Joe, soondg, PA chapter leader.
While Joe, has not yet accepted the friendly wager, some of the other PA members noticed and are going to try to out do us.
According to my calculations, we have 12 New Castle county members on the roster. To date I think only one NC member has signed up to attend.
We need the participation from all chapter members especially the New Castle county members and their wives and children.
PA boasts that they are the fastest growing and best chapter on FTE. I beg to differ with them and have put my money where my mouth is.
Delaware Chapter members don't let me down. I don't mind eating a little crow, but I won't like it.
Let's all make a special effort to attend this meet in FULL FORCE.
Love the post George. As I stated in the Pa. Chapter, I will leave it up to the pride of the Pa. Chapter Members to accept your challenge. I don't think they will let their chapter down. Oh! I've tasted that crow before, just put a lot of bar-b-que sauce on it if needed.
I have been in touch with Dover Downs International Speedway concerning getting tickets for the June truck race. Tickets would be $38/per person for seats on the front straight.
Is there any interest from the Chapter members in pursuing this event to attend as a group?
I'll make you a deal George. I'll buy your seat at the race for you out of the goodness of my heart. The only thing I expect in return is round trip airfare for me to attend.

...I second this motion. Preferably western Tennessee. Right where it bumps into Missouri maybe...
You know, I've noticed that many of the Chapter Members have more than one truck. And Although I loved looking at the Big, New, Shiney, Super Duties at the last Meet-n-Greet, I think we should have a month where people bring thier oldies.
Yes, that means you too BigBlue.
I like to see some of the people's classic trucks, and work rigs, and even the beaters!
