I must be crazy, ordered 08 F450 KR

OK, this is rediculas, MSRP $62,465 for my new truck, OUCH!

But I am excited, I sold my 05 F350 KR to my buddy and now have to wait I think 8 weeks or so. I think I got most all options, even that huge 4.88 rear end, should work out great with pulling my stock trailer.

I will fill you all in when I get it, I have to say my 2005 F350 6.0 has been flawless for over 50k hard miles, hopefully this new 6.4l will be as good, time will tell.

Well you can't take it with you It doesn't seem so terrible when compared to the 32' agricultural field disc I saw today, $45,000.

Thats insane! I don't think I would (or could) pay that much for a truck, but its probably worth it with that new superduty. Although I thought most people were posting up around 55k. Did you pay MSRP?

what are you planning on hauling with it?

My good friend owns a FORD store, so no I do not pay MSRP, but he did make me pay $1,000.00 over invoice, still a great deal. I raise Corrientte cows and have a small stock contracting business. I haul heavy loads.

Knowing someone at the store makes things so much easier. It took me about an hour to get my mazda3 when I bought it because we knew the owner, just show up, sign some papers and you're done.

good luck with it, hope it treats you well!

and don't forget to give us all a review when it shows up

I think these trucks might be hard to get after awhile. Everybody seems to be impressed by the truck when they first see one an drive one an sit in one. Then they want one. I havent heard one bad comment when people see these trucks in person an drive one.

People definitely seem to be impressed with Ford's effort here, and rightfully so.

I just read the FTE review on the '08 Superduty. Glad to see Ford continues to improve their best product. That being said, I don't think charging 62K (msrp for the truck mentioned at the start of this thread) is going to dig them out of the hole. And IMHO, the headlight set-up is butt-ugly!! It reminds me of that small Chevy truck that also has the headlights beneath the running lights. Say it with me U G L Y, you ain't got no alibi...!!!

You mean the Colorado...that setup is ugly. I think Ford did it much better.

Crazy...nah..cool...definitely.
