Door Switch Illumination Failure

The Lock/Unlock switch on the driver's door is no longer illuminated when the parking or head lights are on. Has anyone had the occasion to repair this problem? Can one replace the bulb in the swtich, or are you supposed to get an entire new swtich assembly?
Thanks - Russ '05 SCREW 4x4

I didn't even know that was supposed to light up. The only one's that light up on mine are the window roller-upper buttons.

Hmmm - Just out to check the passenger door and the lock/unlock was illuminated and then I checked the driver's side and it was working now. So I have an intermittent lamp. Still interested if anyone can comment on replacement of an individual switch button lamp. Thanks for your reply.

Yes, mine gave out right at 35,999 miles. The dealership was nice to me and replaced it, no charge.

From my past experiences, you wil need to get a new switch assembly. Unless you can get lucky and you are still under warranty. They tell you that the bulbs are not a replaceable item. Only the switches are replaceable.
