Here in MD you get tags for two years on most vehicles. Anything 1 ton or higher tags are only good for a year. Motorcycles I think are good for two years.( not sure on that though but I can check). Trailer tags are only good for a year but you do not have to have insurance on the trailer.

Thanks Brian. I wasnt sure if they were one or two year tags. Whats ironic is my dad has a 150cc scooter that has to have tags on it.

Now they only give me 2 years!

Congrats on getting her through Barry.
Sounds like you got an A-hole that day...lol

I got through with a gage up on the dash,,,I though for sure that would fail me...

When I first started reading this I was thinking O S**t !!!, but then realized that it was you rold truck that you were having issues with. Congrats on getting the new one taken care of.

Here in NY we have to have annual safety and emmission inspections. Our vehicle registration is good for 2 years.

I got Five years on my truck, because it was new, but after that, I agree with Phil, and believe that two is the max.......... I have a lot of relatives in Pa, and don't have any faith in having an inspection system wherein the inspector personally profits from failing my vehicle. My aunt had an inspection and was turned down for illegal exhaust work, till she reminded the inspector that he was the one who did the exhaust work. She passed........

This may be of interest
Not only can I and the station loose their license, I can also loose my drivers license, be fined and go to jail. The last time I checked or heard of anybody selling tickets they were running about 2 to 250 a pop.

Window tint in MD is an undefined area. You can only have tint allowing 35%
light through and no colores. I had some that was 35% on my Nissan pickup
but the outside of it changed colores.

If you protest an inspectors decision you can take it to main MVA and have the MSP look at it.
Don't know if there have been any updates stating no LED lights.
Vehicle height is 27" not from the bumper but from the lowest point on the frame.
Paul flathead95hp is a MD inspector for cars, I have a license for trailers however I have the same book he does. I can do both vehicle warnings and actual inspection tickets to a point.
