my 65 was the "brokeback beater"
we just call the 79 "beater", even though its not really a beater any more.
its not too bad boss, ever listen to "The Ride" by David Allen Coe?
edit: or Phantom 309? maybe we should get someone to write a new sonf with a Ford in it

There is afew songs with Fords in them like Alberta`s Ian Tyson`s Steel Dustline and Allan Jackson`s Drive.
Allan Jackson`s Mercury Blues, there is a song about a Hot Rod Lincoln and Tracy Bird`s Lifestyles Of The Not So Rich And Famous that has a Fairlane up on blocks.
There have been alot of songs with Mustangs and the odd one about a Cobra.
I have never heard "The Ride" by David Allen Coe though I have listened to alot of his songs.

my step dad used to call his 74 390ed truck "betsy" I am sure thats a pretty common one LOL...i think jughead in the archie comics called their jalopy betsy...maybe im thinking of betty
I am like 7.3 fullcrew... our mazda protege was called "the protege" our bronco is called "the bronco" and our van we call "the van" HAHAHA
but we do name our pets...roxy is our dog
clause, oly, brooklyn, and stubs are our cats
ratticus is our gerbil
stubs was born with only a stub for a tail
If I ever name a truck anything...my first choices that come to mind right now are...
beater, fart banger, and sniffles that about sums up my taste in vehicles HAHAHA
Beater=overall condition
Fart banger= leaky exhaust
sniffles= engine

Hi guys,
This is Skidooman's wife talking. He was telling me about this post and was too chicken to reply that his 79 truck is named "Betsy". I actually got to pick the name. He tried to change it with "Clifford the Big Red Truck" and "Big Red" but for some reason Betsy just stuck.
Anyways, FORD rules! I won't drive anything but!
