A problem with their numbers.

Since the distillers grains that are fed to the cattle are only 40 percent of the cattle’s diet, there is another energy input to the system in the form of the other 60% of the feed. They don't count this, and it artificially inflates their energy balance numbers. I still say it would be more efficient and cost effective to just burn the corn fiber and power the plant that way.<O</O

Your link totally proved my point.

They don't count the 60% extra feed that goes into the cattle. I have news for you feed is not free. How can their electricity use be less when they have added an entire new process in the form of their digestion plant that is not present in any other ethanol plant?

Their numbers are totally smoke and mirrors.

This slide shows a rosier picture than it really is; also, it 'conveniently' omits a few things. It may well be slightly better than other processes, but it's by no means revolutionary.

Edit: whether it's 'total smoke and mirrors' -- I can't tell based on the scant info available, though some numbers just don't seem to add up.
