Unhappy Not again!!!

I finally got that big picture window home on Monday. Unfortunately, pulling the trailer ate up what was left of the clutch on my little Nissan. I knew it was bad when I got it, but hoped it would last until spring. Well, I borrowed a set of wheels from the inlaws until mine's back on the road. Got the clutch kit and the input shaft bearing and getting the flywheel done today. Hoping to put it all together Monday. However, onThursday when I cam into town to pick up the clutch kit, I blew a Power steering hose on the PSD!!!!! Popped the tubing right out of the fitting at the pump! Never seen that before. Fortunately I was on my way to NAPA and they had 1 hose left and it fit. An hour later, I was back on the road. Now to fix the Nissan.................

That`s too bad about the clutch, not a real fun job. What`s the clutch parts and the hose cost?

Always something on these trucks!!!! A couple of years back , I blew the pressure hose on the power steering on the Crew Cab, was about 5 miles into a trail, had 38" Swampers on at the time too. Man, it was a memorable trail ride out and a couple of weeks till I got around to replacing the hose!!!!! really had to plan turns in advance and really work to make them!!!!

The hose wasn't too bad. $58. The clutch kit for the Nissan was $148. The headaches..... priceless. Did I mention that the Geo is out with a piled up clutch as well, so my spare vehicle is down too. I was really hoping the nissan would wait until it was warmer. Oh well. I guess I can't expect too much. The little truck just turned over 380 000K.

Now we're all comedians!
I got the flywheel done yesterday and will be re-assembling the death trap on Monday.
Now it's all new. THat should help. Once I have this done, I'll get to work on the Geo. Then it's up for sale.
