yeah and the heat that comes out on the floor will melt your shoes (not really) i'm thinking it may be a vaccum line or other control gone bad -- i bought a warranty when i financed this thing maybe it's time to try it out as i seem to have 4wd issues also
Kinda sounds like either a blend door issue or something with the control, or a vacuum leak, like you said. If you've got it warrantied, I'd definitely go that way.
vacuum controls 3-4 different cylinders that stroke 3-4 different doors. You can send the air to the defrost, dash, floor, bring in outside air, or bring in recirc from the cab back to the heater. There is one vacuum line going to the dash selector switch and it distributes out from there to several hoses. If you have no vacuum, the doors all close and the air comes out the defrost by the windshield. If the air comes out the dash or floor, then the controler behind the selector **** is probably leaking inside.
