im not sure as to what others have done, but if i recall, jeep we did up was 18 guage 3" tubing, small pickup with 14 guage 2" tubing. hope that helps some

18 guage 3" tubing sounds good...now I know what to look for. thanks man!

hey no prob. take your time and do your homework - id say check around for some decent tubing and work on your welds. draw out a couple pictures and take measurements, maybe go online and check out existing guards as templates/ideas. i did all of this before starting, and it really saved some headaches and it'll look a LOT better! i suppose you could just go for it too, but i don't really recommend that if you are looking for safety, strength, etc.
