Are body and trim codes stamped in body?

I've got a question for the Fairlane Ranchero guys.

I've been trying to confirm what my car actually is, but the doors and front fenders aren't original and there are no tags on the door anyways. I finally found the VIN on the top of the inner fender. 6H44S****** which means it's a 1966 Convertible Fairlane GTA.

Now I want to know what the body and trim codes. I've taken a picture of the door jam which seems original. Inside the well for the top the paint is the same color. It looks like Emberglow Metalic but I would like to confirm it and I'm not sure what the interior colors are suppose to be. The seats and door panels are an off white.

So is there someplace they stamped these codes. I find lots of stamping, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Some of the codes around the doors or engine compartment are as follows:
11 12
16138A
12 16 2

Thanks for any help!

I believe there should be a data plate riveted to the rear edge of the driver's door. This would have the information you are looking for, if the plate is still there and if the door has not been changed.

11 18D2 / 16138A / 12 16 2 Not related to much of anything, 16138A is partial ID Engineering (prefix is missing) number for the radiator support.
When you type 8D together, you get that smilie face unless you scroll down towards the bottom of page and disable smilies in text...like I did.

6 = 1966.

H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant.

44 = Body Style 76D - Fairlane 500 GT Convertible.

S = 390 4V

Ember Glo is COLOR code V but since the Warranty Plate is missing, there is no way to confirm if this is correct or know what type material/color of seat upholstery it came with.

There also no way to confirm what type of trans it came with, manual or auto. 44 VIN series code only decodes to GT .. not GTA.

And, since FoMoCo THRU AWAY all the records for ALL 1961/66 vehicles decades ago, you're out of luck...unless the Fairlane Club has records.

Here's the parts catalog sample of a 1966/69 Warranty Plate. Kevin Marti (martiauto.com) has repro'd the plate and correct rivets, can stamp all the correct codes on it, but only for 1967/69.

Late 1980's: FoMoCo was planning to THROW AWAY all the 1967/79 Passenger Car/Truck/Bronco/Econoline records. Kevin Marti, a Mustang/Shelby 'nut' found out and GOT ALL OF IT!

btw: I hope you have the title (CA: Pink Slip) for this Fairlane, because if you don't, all you have is a parts car and a dubious one at that. Getting the CA DMV to issue a new title will be a real b!tch!
