dang 0l' boom
our 02 edge with 3.0l is making a noise like a rod knock but i has great oil pressure. does any one know what the oil pressure is supposed to be in psi and where i can hook up a gauge, or any body have a idea what is causing the noise.

The oil pressure gauge is nothing but a glorified dummy light. You get 7 PSI of pressure, congratz, it jumps to mid range and sits there as long as the pressure doesn't fall below 7 PSI.
You can hook a mechanical gauge up in place of the stock sensor. The normal rule is 10 PSI for every thousand of RPM, necessity would be at least 40 at cold idle and 2000 RPM, and no less than around 15 PSI fully warmed up.
