front springs

ok guys well the front springs on my truck are in pretty sad shape. im definantly in need of some new ones, so my question to yall is are there any aftermarket springs that will hold up or am i gonna have to get some stockers.

by the way the truck is a late model 99' f3504x4, crewcab, longbed.

thanks, Austin

Hi please explane what you mean by sad shape. Are they saging or a little soft/bouncy.
Would an add a leaf help because as far as i know any aftermarket springs will be in the form of a 2'' lift or higher. You could probably get some custom made springs. good luck

by sad shape i mean they are sagging really bad, towards the ends of the springs towards the eyes, it looks as if they are bent. its kinda odd. ill see if i can get some pics tomorrow in the daylight.

I know what he said, but his profile indicates an 06 F150. Not a SD.

If you go stock, get the Excursion springs. They're a little stiffer and shouldn't sag as much. Mine also look like gravity has taken it's toll...

I did a quick review of my jillions of pages of bookmarks and came up with these PN's and dealer prices for the X-Springs.

Part numbers required are:

(2) 2C3Z-5310-AF Springs -- $154.32 ea

(4) F81Z-5705-ZA U-Bolts -- $15.88 ea

(8) N805480-S426 Nut -- $1.86 ea

You might check out a few off road shops first, see if they happen to have some newer take offs. Looks like you'd be close to 400 with the above pricing, might be worth a few phone calls anyway.
